Union African Methodist Episcopal Church is pastored by Reverend Chestine Sims. Located near downtown Little Rock, it is three minutes from the historic and legendary Central High School. Union is in the Little Rock/Jonesboro District of the Arkansas Conference of the Twelfth Episcopal District of the AME Church.

OUR MISSION
We acknowledge God our Father - Creator of Heaven and earth, Christ our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit who empowers us for worship, love, fellowship and service. In response to God's love and forgiveness, we the members of Union African Methodist Episcopal Church hereby pledge:

To encourage the study of the doctrine, history and traditions of our denomination.

To foster commitment to and support for Christian discipleship, stewardship, and redemptive love.

To nurture each member to become an ambassador for Christ through prayer, the study of the Word, and the sharing in The Sacraments.

To provide spiritual and physical support to the poor, the lonely, the sick, and those in need.

DEPARTMENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS
MINISTRIES
Christian Education Department
The Department of Christian Education develops comprehensive and unified programs of Christian education that lead to the knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, the Christian religion, and the Christian church, and an implementation of these values in daily living.
Sunday Church School
Sunday Church School is a place for the whole family. Classes for the entire family are available and all can participate in the important purposes of Bible study, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.
Lay Organization
The Lay Organization of the AME Church is commissioned to teach, train, and empower its members for lay ministry, global leadership, and service following the tenets of Jesus Christ.
Sons of Allen
The Sons of Allen was formed for the purpose of encouraging men to become involved in helping other men find Christ in their lives.
Women's Missionary Society (WMS)
The Women's Missionary Society is called to strengthen our faith and sent to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ by service and witness in the world.
Young People's Division (YPD)
The YPD under the leadership of the Women's Missionary Society provides meaningful youth training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of church life.
Food Pantry
Union's Food Pantry aids the community by providing food for the body and the soul. The pantry is open on the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Music Department
The Music Department consists of the Mass Choir, Youth Choir, and Sons of Allen Choir
and is accompanied by the Big U Band:
Minister of Music: Bro LaBaron Mizer, Saxophone: Blake Smith, Bass Guitar: Allen Hillard and Drums: Kevin Ward.
Video & Visual Ministries
The Video Ministry captures each service, and the Visual Ministry enhances services by providing visual aids for Sunday's services.
Christian Debutante and Master Commission
Young people participating in the CDMC have an opportunity to receive regular and special study programs for personal Christian development and creative leadership in the A.M.E. Church. There are divisions and instruction for you participating from the age of six to twenty-two. The CDMC program culminates with young people, ages sixteen through twenty-two,being introduced to the church society
and to dedicate their lives to greater Christian service.
